Sweater weather is finally here and nothing screams “sweater weather” more than a classic chunky knit! I love knit sweaters not only for comfort and warmth, but because they are so easy to style. They make a statement on their own so you don’t have to put much effort into styling them. Along with sweatshirts, they are my “grab and go” piece that I resort to when I am in a rush or simply do not feel like ripping my wardrobe apart to find an outfit.
This sweater is by far one of my favorites. The color, volume, and exaggerated cowl neckline make my inner pink-obsessed girly girl side go crazy! For this look, I wanted to play around with texture and color-blocking, so I paired this sweater with a black faux leather mini skirt and a pair of pink faux suede thigh-high boots. I love faux suede and faux leather because of the way the light hits their surface. Proportion is extremely important when wearing anything mini, so thigh-highs are always my go-to in this case. This look is perfect for the beginning of fall when the weather isn’t too hot or too cold and there’s a nice breeze in the air. The best thing about this look is the cost of course! All items were on sale: the sweater was $10, the skirt was $7, and the boots were $5. Yes, you read that correctly! This look costed me a total of only $22. I will be making a blog post on how I am always able to score such great deals. Like anything, the most important thing is consistency in looking for huge sales. Stay tuned for more of my affordable style!
XOXO,
