Spring has come and now is the time to start thinking about transitional pieces that will get you out of your sweats and into your refreshed spring wardrobe. Transitional pieces are items in your wardrobe that wear when the seasons are changing from one to the next, at that odd in-between time when it’s not fully one season or the next. The weather is somewhere in the middle and it can sometimes make dressing for it difficult, especially in the transition from winter to spring. The weather tends to be colder in the morning and at night, and warmer mid-day. If you are a person who hates when seasons change for this reason, I am here to help! Some tips on transitional looks:
- Layers are your new bff- they are perfect for staying warm during this time, but the beauty is that you can take them off as needed throughout the day when it may be a little warmer.
- Balance is key. Mixing warmer spring pieces with winter pieces is the best way to dress for inconsistent weather.
- Although some styles carryover from winter to spring, refresh you wardrobe my introducing fresh, brighter colors snd prints. Pastels are florals are always a must for spring!
Here’s some key items that are probably already in your closet and will get you from winter to spring:
1. SWEATERS
Sweaters are great for comfort and warmth, especially at the beginning of spring when the weather is still chilly. Instead of sticking to the neutrals you were wearing during fall and winter, introduce bright spring colors to your wardrobe!

2. SHACKETS
Shackets have been on the rise this past year and they are now a wardrobe must-have in my opinion! What are they? A shacket is the perfect blend of an oversized shirt and a jacket- not as thin as your typical shirt and not as heavy as your typical jacket. These are great for the in-between weather we are now experiencing.

3. LOUNGE SETS
Loungewear has also been on a rise and it is here to stay. Whether you are going in or staying in or going out, loungewear sets are perfect for the lazy days when you want to look put together but do not feel like putting in the extra effort.
