Making Priority Mail Less of a Priority

If you are an online shopper like me, you probably  feel like this is how you wait around for the USPS truck to pull up. Recently, I have been focusing more on styling the existing pieces that already in my wardrobe versus buying new clothes all of the time. This outfit was already in my closet, but I bought a new coat and clutch to add color and interest to the look, as well as introduce color and patterns into my wardrobe. You all know how much I love a good sale, but after going through my clothes, I realized how often I buy items that sit around to the point where I sometimes forget I even bought them. I have made a new rule for online shopping: Let the items sit in your cart for at least 2 days before completing your purchase. This gives you time to reevaluate and refine your cart. It also helps you get rid of some items if you are indecisive like me, which ultimately helps you save money in the long run. This has helped me stop making unnecessary purchases. I find myself quick to add items to a cart because of a good sale, even if they will not help me evolve my style. Speaking of evolving my style, I usually go back to my cart after a couple of days and analyze each item to see if it will push my style further or keep me in my comfort zone. If it keeps me in my comfort zone, I remove it from my cart. This process will help you have more statement pieces instead of basics and cut the quantity of items in your cart in half. My new priority is making smart purchasing decisions that will elevate both my style and my wallet.
